Zuniceratops is an ancient species of ceratopsian that remains one of the most durable starter dinosaurs in the game. It is the perfect choice for beginners.

- Description

Zuniceratops christopheri is the Tier 1 Ceratopsian available in Dinosaur World Mobile.

Overview[]

Zuniceratops (Meaning "Zuni-horned face") was added a few days after the release of Dinosaur World Mobile, being placed under Leaellynasaura in the Herbivore Category. Later, in June of 2020, Styracosaurus was added, and Zuniceratops was placed beside Styracosaurus. It is about a meter tall.

Zuniceratops is the first dinosaur in the Herbivore 1, and the first dinosaur within the Ceratopsian branch, followed by Styracosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus, Pentaceratops and Triceratops. It is part of the Cruiser class and can only spawn in the Plains. Zuniceratops is a herbivore.

How to Survive[]

Surviving as Zuniceratops can be difficult. This is due to it being one of the most targeted dinosaurs in the game. It is best to avoid other players and live a solitary life. Zuniceratops can be outran by medium-sized carnivores and easily killed by them, so be cautious for any nearby.

Changes[]

Zuniceratops used to have a different model than what it has now. The original model was created days after Dinosaur World Mobile was released, in 2020, while the new redesigned version was added on the 9th of May 2022. There were a few clear differences from the previous and new model.

  • The model was bigger.
  • The beak was bigger.
  • The old model's attack included the front legs being raised, while the new model does not have that.
  • The old model had four toes, while the new model has five toes.
  • The horns on the old model pointed more forwards, while the new model points more diagonally up.
  • The new model is faster.

Trivia[]

  • Zuniceratops started out being classed as a Tank before later being changed into a Cruiser. Then in the new map update it became a Tank again before once again becoming a cruiser when it received its V5 remodel.
  • Zuniceratops was one of the first dinosaurs to be added into the mobile version of the game, and it is arguably the of the most hated dinosaurs in the game due to its notorious infamy of instigating their “parents” (Triceratops) into attacking innocent carnivores.

Dictionary World Mobile
KOSer A player that kills on sight (ex. Ceratopsians usually love to be KOSers towards carnivores)
Sport Killer A term related to KOSer; anyone who loves to kill others for no reason, thus "killing for sport" (ex. Large Carnivores are often sport killers to smaller dinosaurs.)
Low Killer A player that likes to attack other players which are low on health (ex. Weaker players are often low killers.)
Revenge Killer A player that will return after a fight for revenge; they almost always target the individual who defeated them but may find someone else to fight (ex. Mapusaurus are often used by revenge killers.)
Spawn Killer/Spawncamper A player that kills another while you are spawning; also known as a spawncamper, they are either the victim of a glitch that keeps them in the spawning area or are exploiters that intentionally execute the glitch (ex. Spawn killers are not too common but not too rare either.)
Teamer A player who teams up with another player in a fight without being in a pack (ex. Players are often teamers due to bias.)
Exploiter A player who uses client-sided scripts to modify gameplay (ex. Many exploiters joined the game in 2025.)
Hacker Someone who can hack into things such as accounts; usually, they are exploiters who do not use client-sided scripts and thus are capable of affecting other players (ex. Hackers are sometimes able to steal Roblox accounts.)
Roleplayer A player that roleplays with others (ex. Zuniceratops are usually roleplayers.)
Combat Log To leave or respawn during a fight usually when they are losing; a person who combat logs is known as a "combat logger" (ex. Some players choose to combat log from fights they are losing.)
Hit and run A strategy used by fast dinosaurs where they hit their opponent and then retreat; perpetrators are known as "hit and runners" and often only attack their target once (ex. Parasaurolophus often use the hit and run strategy.)
KoS Short for "Kill on Sight", which refers to the act of killing someone or something that has been perceived (ex. Some players like to KoS weaker players.)
Pack A group of carnivores that are the same species which work together usually to hunt (ex. Players often form large packs to take down an Argentinosaurus.)
Mixpack (Mixed pack) A pack of dinosaurs which are different species (ex. Carnivores often form mixpacks with other species.)
Herd A group of herbivores which work together to survive or to attack carnivores. (ex. Ceratopsians often make herds.)
Alpha A leader of a herd or pack (ex. Some players like having an alpha in their pack.)
Beta The second in command in a herd or pack, after the Alpha (ex. Most herds and packs in the game don't have a beta.)
Sentry A player in a herd or pack that watches out for threats (ex. Sentries have to keep an eye out for threats.)
Carnivore Any individual (in this case, an animal) which eats meat (ex. Carnivores are very common.)
Piscivore A type of carnivore which eats almost exclusively fish (ex. Spinosaurus is a piscivore.)
Insectivore A type of carnivore which eats almost exclusively insects (ex. Glyptogenys is inferred to be an insectivore-carnivore.)
Omnivore An animal which doesn't eat any specific thing, meaning they eat anything (ex. Citipati is an omnivore.)
Herbivore An animals which eats plants (ex. Herbivores in the game are usually quite aggressive.)
